Founded in 2015, Anthony Barrel Company’s mission is to make barrels of any size and flavor for local distillers and in turn, Philadelphia’s whiskey crowd.

From a small space in a woodshop in Philadelphia’s Port Richmond neighborhood, ABC experimented with both old and new methods of making barrels, resulting in a unique approach to making a product that has been made for thousands of years.

We want to work with anyone interested in the barrel aging process. Therefore, we are willing to hear inquiries concerning any and all barrel sizes, toasts, and chars. It is our goal to grow with our customers, and learn as much about the process of aging as possible.

We are currently producing barrels from 1 to 15 gallons but are working toward making barrels up to 53 gallons. Check out our interview with Philly Voice.

Originally from Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, Ryan is a Civil Engineer by day whose passion is making barrels for craft distillers. When he’s not in the shop, you’ll find him shooting hoops, enjoying a good whiskey cocktail, or exploring the city of Philadelphia.
